Meet Caitlin Scarola, Account Supervisor at EGC Group
Caitlin Scarola has the distinction of being a “boomerang employee” of EGC, in that she worked here for several years, then left for a different position elsewhere, but returned to this Agency to serve the needs of our clients. Find out why Caitlin made the decision to come back to EGC, as well as what she hopes to learn and the future trends she is looking forward to implement for her clients.
This is your second tour with EGC and we’re so happy to have you as part of the team again. What’s something you missed about EGC during your hiatus from us?
I missed my awesome EGC co-workers, working with clients, and getting to be involved in every part of the marketing process. My other roles were focused on one small piece of the puzzle, but it’s much more fun and rewarding to see everything come together to form a holistic campaign.
As an account person, you’re tasked with being knowledgeable about every facet of marketing. If you had unlimited time to learn one discipline, what would you choose?
I would probably want to learn about search engine optimization (SEO) and social. (Can I pick two?) I’ve always been fascinated with SEO, how Google prioritizes content, and what you can do to raise your position in search. In terms of social, I’d love to be able to run and optimize paid social campaigns for my clients.
What trend(s) in 2021 are you excited to have your clients include in their marketing mix this year?
I am really excited about running connected TV ads for one of my clients. It allows you to reach your audience through streaming TV on any device connected to the Internet (like smart TVs, tablets, computers, and smartphones). What’s cool about it are the precise targeting capabilities—through programmatic media buying—and the lower cost than traditional cable TV advertising. I can’t wait to see how it performs.
