“Live From The EGC Content Studio”: Importance of ADA Compliance
Is your website accessible to everyone—including users with disabilities? This is why ADA compliance is important, as explained by Steve Castro, EGC’s Director of Web Development.
In 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed to prohibit discrimination against people who are disabled. Where websites are concerned, users who have vision, hearing, and motor function disabilities must be accommodated so that they may be able to have the same online experience as others.
In this video, Steve goes into further detail of the backlash that can happen if a website is not ADA compliant, as well as steps to take in adjusting a site so that users with disabilities can use it.
