EGC Spreads the Word About Local Amusement Park’s Expansion

Earlier this year, the EGC Group was hired by Adventureland in Farmingdale to manage a press conference to cover details about the amusement park’s $10 million renovation and expansion plan—which will include new rides—as well as its upcoming 2024 season and new partnership with Catholic Health.

EGC successfully managed interviews and media pre-event visits, and also organized invitations to local elected officials who were asked to participate. This led to attendance by Suffolk County Executive Edward P. Romaine, Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, and other local officials who collectively offered a show of strong community support to Adventureland’s expansion plan.

On Tuesday, March 19th, starting at 6 a.m., EGC was on site in Farmingdale, helping to manage News 12 Long Island’s live shots at the park as it previewed the press conference. A wide range of media outlets also turned out to cover the press conference, including Newsday, NewsdayTV, WCBS, WNBC, Fox 5, Pix 11, LI Press, Greater Farmingdale, Discover Long Island, and Mommy Poppins, among others. Other media picked up on the press release written by EGC and sent it out, post-event, to outlets that included Long Island Business News, Time Out New York, I Love NY, WBLI, TheIsland360.com, and The Babylon Beacon.

The personnel at Adventureland was happy with the coverage and turnout in getting the message about their expansion plan spread far and wide—thanks to with media fanfare and public relations efforts from EGC.
