What is “STARS”? It is an acronym that stands for “Stuttering Treatment and Research Society.” EGC is proud to partner with this organization and the efforts led by Dr. Gerald Maguire. Dr. Maguire has dedicated his career to groundbreaking research for stuttering and related neurological conditions. Through STARS, he is leading a movement to advance understanding and hope for people who stutter around the world. STARS is a non-profit organization that has been funded with a $10 million donation. This September, STARS will host its first-ever Research and Education Conference at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, CA—bringing together experts, advocates, and people who stutter—for a historic moment in the community.
