EGC Mentioned in Digiday Article Covering March Madness
It’s March Madness season, celebrating NCAA college basketball, and EGC President Nicole Penn commented on potential influencer marketing opportunities.
As Nicole points out, any NIL (name, image, likeness) college athlete who is in what may be called the “transition phase” from student to professional makes a great influencer possibility, as he or she already has a mini-fan base:
“Since NIL athletes are considered up-and-coming stars, fans are especially drawn to their backstories and will invest themselves in the athlete’s rise to success. It’s a ‘I was there from the start’ syndrome that fans relish and they’ll emotionally invest themselves in that athlete’s career so having touchpoints to those athletes outside the court itself is appealing to them.”
