The phenomena known as “revenge spending” is a pattern where people are making fast and furious purchases after having been in lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having felt deprived from enjoying life, people now want to live for the moment—or “seize the day,” as explained by EGC President, Nicole Penn.
