With CreateAthon swiftly approaching, we at The EGC Group are excited to share some of the developments that have been unfolding since we announced that we were selected to participate as the NY area marketing company in the 24-hour, round-the-clock effort to produce campaigns for not-for-profit organizations.

In addition to donating 1,000 EGC employee hours, we have received substantial donations from many of our local partners in  media and area vendors, who are contributing airtime, newspaper space as wells as donating printing, photography and broadcast production services. CreateAThon will be held Thursday and Friday, September
18th and 19th.

In related news, Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi recently held a press conference during which he focused attention on the difficulties that local charities are facing as a result of the economic slowdown; he then spotlighted the CreateAthon effort as an example of how businesses could help struggling nonprofits make it through this difficult time.
