Iron Chef
Iron Chef, The Food Network’s top rated program, tapped the EGC Group to help develop a contest that would help design a new, more fashionable chef coat for prestigious chefs such as Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Masaharu Morimoto and Cat Cora . The EGC Group created a nationwide competition, Contestants were invited to submit designs to be judged at The Food Network’s boardroom in Manhattan. Renowned fashion designer, Marc Ecko, helped choose the winner. He has used the winning design as inspiration for the new chef coats, set to make their debut during the sixth season of Iron Chef America. These coats will be reproduced for all future Iron Chefs, ensuring that the chef coats shown on The Food Network will be unlike any other.
The contest winners received an Innovis-QC1000 sewing and quilting machine from Brother International Corporation and a trip to New York City to attend the taping of The Next Iron Chef. |
