Melville, NY -- Ernie Canadeo, President and CEO of The EGC Group, Inc., is adding two more accolades to his already impressive list of Long Island appointments as he has recently been named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by The Advancement for Commerce, Industry and Technology (ACIT) and appointed to the Board of Directors of The Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
Canadeo will be receiving the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at the ACIT Annual Business Leadership Awards Luncheon on December 2nd at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. ACIT recognizes their nominees for their entrepreneurial spirit and their commitment to hard work to further the growth and development of communities on Long Island.
"I am one of thousands of entrepreneurs who have worked hard to build companies that we, our employees, and clients can be proud of," Canadeo said. "I am honored to be selected from this distinguished group to receive this prestigious award."
Knowing the man behind the success is often challenging in business. The many who know Canadeo will tell you he’s an avid music fan and collector with a cool collection of Rock memorabilia and a solo CD of original songs. Combine his legacy as a business leader on Long Island with his life-long passion as a music connoisseur and it’s no wonder he was named to the Board of Directors of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
The Long Island Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the musical heritage for future generations. It was created by dedicated music lovers on Long Island, hailing from various industries, to inspire the desire for people to explore music in all forms and genres and to provide the necessary leadership to guide them through their exploration.
“As a lifelong lover and player of music, I am thrilled to be a part of creating a place to celebrate the history of music on Long Island,” Canadeo said. "There is no more vibrant place in the United States that has contributed more to the history of music than Long Island."
